Can A Gout Diet Ease Your Suffering?

There are a lot of opinions about what causes gout, but some doctors prescribe medication, while others believe that diet will help just as much.

My family has a history of gout and most of the men seem to get it as they age.  However, when my Uncle Rod started seeing the symptoms, he went online and did some research. There he found a gout diet which promised to relieve his symptoms, so he decided to experiment with it.

He found that avoiding foods like organ meats, mushrooms, and legumes helped.  He also added dark berries to his diet and substituted tofu for meat.  It wasn’t long before he felt better.

Uncle Rod also exercises thirty minutes a day and generally stays active.  All of those things keep him gout free, but he believes that his diet is the most important thing he’s doing.
