A Younger Sister Asks Her Older Sister About Alcoholism Symptoms
Peggy was a senior in high school who hung around with a group of older girls who drank quite heavily. It didn’t take long before Peggy was drinking as much as the other girls. One day, Peggy’s younger sister Camille asked Peggy if she was ever concerned that she would start having alcoholism symptoms. Peggy laughed and said that she hadn’t been drinking long enough to be concerned about being an alcoholic. Furthermore, since none of her other friends ever became an alcoholic, why would she? Camille walked away thinking that her older sister wasn’t being realistic. All she could do was hope that her older sister came to her senses and started to be more honest about her drinking.
