Has your doctor started lecturing you on changing your diet due to high blood pressure or elevated glucose? If so, you might want to consider a paleolithic diet plan, sometimes called the caveman diet or paleo diet. On this diet you avoid all milk products, legumes, cereal grains, starchy vegetables, salty and sugary foods. You also don’t eat fatty meats or processed meats. Non starchy vegetables, many seeds and nuts and oils such as olive oil or avocado oil is allowed. Fish is also appropriate on paleo. Research has shown that those on a paleolithic diet plan lower their LDL cholesterol and increase the HDL. They also have better control of their blood sugar and those with high blood pressure begin to see it lower on this diet.
