Being in charge of a large vessel is a challenging, yet fun, job. The most challenging aspect is trying to remember everything. I have to remember shopping lists, deal with vendors, and keep track of my crew. Then, on top of this, I have to think about safety drills and routine vessel maintenance. Luckily, my boss purchased Vessel Management Software. This software helps me track what maintenance has been done, when it was done and where it was done. It also alerts me when maintenance is due again.
