A woman has been arrested after running a red light and hitting a car full of teenagers in the Foothill Farms area, early Sunday. The woman was also charged with another unmentioned felony.
At around 12:50am, she was driving her 1996 GMC westbound on Madison Avenue, when she failed to stop at a red light and hit the right side of a 1991 Ford Probe. The Ford was being driven by an 18 year-old woman from Sacramento, who was turning left onto northbound Hackberry Lane on a green arrow.
Some of the passengers in the Ford weren’t wearing their seatbelts, such as the woman sitting in the middle of the rear seat. She was ejected from the vehicle and taken to UC Davis Medical Center, with major injuries. An 18 year-old man, was sitting in the left rear seat and he was also ejected from the car, and taken to Sutter Roseville Medical Center with moderate injuries. Two other passengers were taken to the hospital with moderate injuries. The driver and passenger in the GMC, were not injured.
