I love things that require very little to get started. For example if you want to play football all you really need to get started is a ball. You can improvise with jumpers and packets of crisps for goalposts.
Another one is street dancing. You don’t actually need anything for this, well I guess music does help. It’s no strange sight if you come across dancers for them to have a huge boombox with them so they can keep up the rhythm. But they can dance without music as well.
Gurning is another activity. In case you’re not aware that’s where people make grotesque faces and the winner is the one with the ‘most impressive’ face. Only it’s not a beauty contest. And all you need is an ugly face. Put your hands up if you want to play gurning!

I would really like to learn how to play Middle Eastern music, since I really like this type of music. I have heard a lot of it while I have been taking belly dancing lessons. I think that the easiest instrument for me to learn to play would be the darbuka, so I am thinking of buying one and finding someone to teach me. I figure my belly dancing instructor might know of someone. But which type of darbuka should I purchase, the Egyptian or the Turkish? Does it make a lot of difference in how you play the drum?

There are plenty of places to get in shape in London, literally millions (well maybe) in fact, but for me it has to be the one I found last month. Its It’s an amazing complex, complete with purpose-built dance studios, free weights, fitness classes, and plenty more besides. I joined on a monthly basis, and have to say, it’s been well worth it already.They have so much to offer, sometimes you forget you are there to work-out, and get fit.Its amazing to me how something so great can cost not much at all.I found them without too much fuss, I just typed "gym North London" into Ask.com, and Voila!Excellent

Tucked away in the heart of Big Sur is an amazing beach; the beach has incredible rock formations and purple sand. It is clean and, surprisingly, not a whole lot of people know about it. And of the people that do know about it, many of them seem to have a hard time of finding it! The locals in the Big Sur area love Pfeiffer Beach, however, and when you make it out to the beach, you are sure to find some of the regulars walking along the sand, swimming, or even surfing. You will be happy to know that there are restroom facilities at the beach, as well as parking. However, since the beach is so remote you won’t find any concession stands or places to get a bite to eat. This means if you plan to spend the whole day at the beach, you will want to stop for food first or plan to bring a picnic lunch with you. Pfeiffer Beach is open until 8 PM, so you might want to stay and see the spectacular sunsets. The beauty of the beach is something that will last in your mind a lifetime – still, you should be sure to bring a camera!

I’m glad that things seem to be going well for Jessica Simpson, quirkiest of celebrities, what with her being so in love with being in love with her new boyfriend, Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo. I’ll never understand why she ever decided to divorce Nick Lachey instead of fighting for them to stay together, but this down-to-earth, fellow Cancer is just too sweet for me not to forgive. I’m still having a bit of trouble picturing Jessica as a country music star, although the move is not too much of a surprise after she had so much fun playing Daisy Duke and recording “These Boots Were Made For Walking” for The Dukes of Hazard, not to mention the hoedown she held on “Push Your Tush” on her last pop album, A Public Affair.
