Software: Inventory Management
While working as a manager of a men’s store a few years ago, I suggested to the CEO that we needed Inventory Management Software to help keep clean inventory records for auditing purposes.
Auditing is only one reason to have a good inventory management package. This software aids in loss prevention, and inventory control. I talked him into trying various demos for our project, and as it turns out he loved it.
He put me in charge of choosing the software, having it installed, and maintaining the database. It was more work for me in the beginning, but now that it is in place, the work to keep it maintained is simply and takes just a few minutes to do.
Over a period of 3 months, the software paid for itself, and now we are running like a finely tuned machine. We have had fewer incidences of inventory loss, and we can now pass any audit thrown at us.
