I am very glad I had a background screening!
I ordered a MacData background screening done on my fiancee and found that she owes more in debt to credit and finance companies than she actually owns. I care deeply about her, but I am not willing to take on that kind of ball and chain. I have a feeling this has damaged our relationship beyond repair, but I am not sure I could have lived with the fact that she was concealing all his debts form me either. While I may not be getting married anytime soon, I will at least be safe from bankruptcy and a life of poverty!
