Digital transmission and HDTV television

The term HDTV television  is of comparatively recent origin. It refers to high-definition television. Here high definition is a function of both broadcast quality and reception effectiveness. Thus HDTV television is one system where the quality of broadcast has to be on a par with the effectiveness of reception. Because of this reason it can be seen that HDTV television often works from the platform of digital broadcast. The greatest plus point of the digital form of telecasting or broadcasting is its relatively high resolution. Another advantage of digital transmission is that it requires small bandwidth only. Thus, because of increasing connectivity high definition television is a product that has arrived.
