Building Our Home
We’ve lived in our current house for almost eight years now. During that time, my husband and I have had two kids. But, with two young children, a cat and us, we’re quickly outgrowing our current space. We’ve been able to save quite a bit of money over the course of the past three years. So, we’ve decided to build our own new home. Even though we didn’t have a huge income, we knew that we could be approved for an FNB mortgage. Sometimes there are special considerations for those people building their own home. We’ve proven our ability to pay our mortgage, with no problems over the past years. And, because we were building our new home in a newer area of town, where the building costs were a bit less, and doing much of the work ourselves, our new mortgage wouldn’t be very much more than our current one. Now, we’ll get our dream home and exactly what we want.
