high gas prices
With gas prices being as high as they are I’d like to take the time to dispel some of the myths about saving money on gas. The one I’d like to talk about today is the myth that running your air conditioner makes you vehicle use more gas. And if both vehicles are idling, the vehicle using the air conditioner will run out of gas first when compared to one that is not. However, we don’t live in a world where we idle all the time. We drive our vehicles and in that world there’s this thing called wind resistance. If you’re driving with the windows open you’re not getting as good of mileage as you would had you kept them closed. When you run the a/c, your windows are closed. And it makes a big difference, big enough that you should run the air conditioner vs opening the windows.
